As a "Former-Fatty" and a person that is constantly fighting the "battle-of-the bulge", the idea of a "well-balanced diet", has won the fight so far. Easy... No! Saying no to a piece of chocolate cake is not the answer either. Eat the cake... but make that piece of cake the meal. Once eaten... take a half an hour walk... dance to one of your favorite tunes. Eat next when hungry... and make that meal count. Protein, fresh vegetable, fresh fruits are all good. The idea is to burn more than you eat. Now look... I know we are taught to eat 3 meals a day... but who made up that rule anyway? Eat when you're hungry! Don't eat if you're not! If you're not hungry in the morning... that's ok... have breakfast for lunch... try...

  • egg white omelet
  • 1/2 toasted bagel
  • 1 teaspoon jelly
  • 1 orange

...if you're hungry at 3:00... try... an apple or a small bag of pretzels. If you're starving... have that piece of pizza you're craving... then make sure your calories do not exceed 1,200 by the end of the day.
